With the Xotic Head Bolts Kit for 2004 + Chevrolet Gen III IV LS Engines 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, 6.2L, you get extraordinarily strong replacement studs that'll keep your vehicle in action.
When you add parts that increase your engine's horsepower such as turbochargers, injectors, or other performance accessories, you risk creating higher cylinder pressures lower than your RPM range. This can lead to the failure of standard head bolts and subsequently, a blown head gasket.
These specially made head studs are created using premium steel alloys (XOTIC 7200) that have superior tensile strength compared to a standard bolt. With these properly installed, you can protect your head gasket from increase cylinder pressures so you can stay on the road.
