27 unique Vintage Colorado Swizzle Stir Sticks,13 from now closed venues!

In the 1950’s, 1960’s and early 1970’s plastic swizzle stir sticks were popular. Nowadays all you get is a straw if you are lucky. Patrons were encouraged to take the swizzles as a way for them to spread the word and advertise the venue. As time goes by these relics will continue to grow in value.
This lot includes 27 swizzle stir sticks, from Colorado venues. 13 are closed, and have been abandoned, demolished, repurposed or gone bankrupt!!
RARE
Of the thousands of plastic swizzles in my collection there were only a
handful
of round plastic swizzles. They were almost always square. The two
Adams hote
l swizzles in this lot are in that
handful
. The hotel opened in 1902 and was demolished in 1969. These swizzles alone are easily worth the buy price.
Probably the most valuable swizzle is the
boxing gloves
from
Joe "Awful" Coffee
. He was a famous boxer that ran a ringside restaurant in the 1950's.
There is a nice set of different color swizzles from the iconic
Diamond Belle Saloon
in Durango
Look close as there is a nice variety of swizzles, and the history of the closed venues is fascinating.
