1985 Discovery Toys My First Puzzles Tray Ravensburger 12 Pcs New West Germany

Up for sale is a vintage Discovery Toys set of TWO 14 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches, tray puzzles titled "My First Puzzles." One puzzle is themed on a construction worker and his equipment, the second is themed on a Veterinarian and animals he/she might treat. Both puzzles have only shaped pieces to make it easy to match the opening to the piece shape. Both are made of thick, durable cardboard and are easily handled by little hands.
The construction worker puzzle has 12 pieces, the veterinarian has 10 pieces. Both are recommended for ages 18 months and up. The puzzles have a 1978 (Vet) and 1984 (Construction) copyright and were manufactured by Ravensburger in "
West Germany.
" Discovery toys had them as item #187 in their catalog with a listed price of .98. These have been stored in an interior closet of my non-smoking, pet free home for many years and are still in new condition. The outer sleeve is tearing along the opening edge due to having the puzzles being removed and put back in multiple times during shows.
I sold Discovery Toys via the home party plan from 1983 to 1986 and this was my demo item. It was never used by a child.
