Description
In the 1950’s, 1960’s and early 1970’s plastic swizzle stir sticks were popular. Nowadays all you get is a straw if you are lucky. Patrons were encouraged to take the swizzles as a way for them to spread the word and advertise the venue. As time goes by these relics will continue to grow in value.Look close at this set of swizzles: The
Mermaid
Coca-Cola
swizzle is rare. The
Holland House
, and
"Antarctica Tonic"
are unusual. The
"Teem Slinger with Pistol"
is probably the most valuable. Teem was discontinued in 1984. These 4 are each by themselves worth the buy price.
There are two different colors of the
Carstairs
spoon with the Seal on top, and the
Drink recipe spoons
can come in handy. Look close at the others, this is a nice group.
If you are a serious swizzle/stir stick collector this is a great way to add to your collection, or at less than 75¢ per swizzle, they could also be resold for 2 or 10 or more times that cost.
